After Tom Dixon, London, 1980s
Crafted in the UK during the 1980s, this postmodern chair is inspired by Tom Dixon’s renowned S Chair, originally designed for Cappellini. The original chair, notable for its fluid, serpentine shape, has been celebrated in prestigious collections such as MoMA and the V&A. Dixon reportedly found his inspiration for this spectacular piece from a drawing of a chicken. Constructed with powder-coated metal and woven rope, the piece is in excellent condition for its age, and has been well cared for over the years. Scuffs to the base to be expected, but the rope remains tightly woven and in great condition.
