Cat People, Bill Hayward, USA, 1978

A must have for any cat lover, Bill Hayward’s Cat People showcases the strong bond between owners and their animals, many of which come from creative backgrounds, from Interior Designers to Art Directors and Models. Each participant has tried to pinpoint their love for cats, and their own pet in particular, in their own short summaries. As Roger’s E.M. Whittaker puts it: ‘Cats represent a civilization far older than any of the several in which I have found myself imbedded from time to time–a civilization at once so simple and yet so subtle that we can never hope to understand it, we must, instead, simply admire.’ The book is in used condition, with some folded page corners from previous readers, small marks, rips and puckering to the softcover.
