Glass Thorn Bud Vase, England, 1800’s

This rare, spiked glass bud vase represents a thorned rose stem, with feet stretching out like tree roots. Supposed to be from 1800’s England, the design is akin to those of Thomas Webb, though the designer or manufacturer of the piece isn’t confirmed. Standing at 15cm high, it neatly fits a few flower stems with a diameter of 3.5cm. At an estimated 200 years old, it remains in fair used condition, however a few of the feet appear to have been snapped and lost somewhere in its life. A really unique and rare addition to a shelf space or sideboard.
