Il Quadrato, Bruno Munari, 1960

A very rare first edition copy of Il Quadrato or ‘The Square’ by Bruno Munari. A design classic featuring 88 pages on the beauty and geometry of squares. This softcover book comes with the original English translation booklet inserts (the main book being in Italian). It’s been well-loved, but still in fairly good condition considering its age, now over 60 years old. Some light spoiling to the cover and yellowed pages throughout are to be expected. The book has been stamped ‘A.E. HARRISON’ from a past owner, and includes some old bookshop stickers to the inside cover, as well as a handwritten price pencilled at £190 from a previous sale. Published by All'Insegna del Pesce d'Oro, Milano 1960.
