Silver-Plated Brass Candleholder, Jens Quistgaard, Denmark, 1960

Danish sculptor and industrial designer Jens Quistgaard enjoyed a long and successful career in Denmark and in the United States. Particularly active during the 1950 and ‘60s, his best known and most commercially successful works were produced by Dansk Designs. This silver-plated brass candleholder was designed by Quistgaard in the 1960’s, and fits 9 thin candles to create a beautiful circle of light. Ideal as a centrepiece for any dining table, it is showing some wear with some brass starting to peep through the silver surface and light scratches throughout. Overall it remains in good, used, vintage condition. We recommend using Wax Atelier’s Celebration or Birthday Candles for a perfect fit.
